Shaheen AI is an AI chatbot assistant. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. By using Shaheen AI, you agree to this policy.
Shaheen AI requires a free account to chat. You can create one with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google.
If you sign up with email: we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (salted, using PBKDF2). We never store your actual password, and we cannot see it.
If you sign in with Google: Google shares your email address with us so we can create or recognise your account. We do not receive your Google password.
We do not ask for your name, phone number, CNIC or location, and we do not keep a database of your conversations on our own servers.
Please note: to give you a reply, the message you send (and any photo or file you choose to attach) is passed through our server to third-party AI services that generate the answer. See section 5.
After you sign in, we keep you signed in using a secure, encrypted session cookie stored in your browser (HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it). It stays valid for up to 30 days or until you log out. We use this only to recognise your account; we do not use it to track you across other websites.
We only use microphone permission for the voice input feature. Your voice is converted to text using the speech recognition feature of your browser or phone, which may be provided by your browser or operating system company. We do not record, save or share your voice ourselves. The resulting text is then sent like any other message.
Your email is used only to identify your account and let you sign in. Messages and attachments are used only to generate your reply, edit your image or create your notes. No data is sold. We do not use your data for advertising.
Shaheen AI does not show any third-party ads. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count visits. It records anonymous information such as the page visited, the website you came from, your browser and device type, screen size and approximate country. It does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. To provide answers, images and voice replies, your request is processed by AI and speech services such as Google (Gemini and text-to-speech), OpenRouter, Groq and Cloudflare Workers AI, under their own terms and privacy policies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may also process technical data such as IP address to deliver the service securely. Please do not share sensitive information such as passwords, ID card numbers or bank details in chats.
Your account (email and password hash, or email from Google) is stored securely on our server so you can sign in again. Your recent chats (up to your last 30) and settings are stored locally in your own browser or phone storage, not on our server. You can delete chats inside the app or by clearing the site data of your browser. If you remove the installed app and clear its data, your saved chats are removed too.
Shaheen AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
Passwords are never stored in plain text, only as a salted hash. Your saved chats stay on your device and under your control. Requests are sent over secure (HTTPS) connections. No online service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so please avoid sharing other sensitive personal information in chats, and use a password you don\u2019t reuse elsewhere.
We may update this Privacy Policy in the future. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
